Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication allows for an extra step in security for your information. Here at Taxaroo, we want to provide multiple avenues for your information to be kept safe. Two-Factor Authentication requires a separate device and code, making it even more difficult for hackers to access your information. The choice is yours if you decide to utilize this added security step.

Step 1: First, login to your account at https://apps.taxaroo.com/login then head to your Settings and go to Security.

Step 2: Next, turn the Off switch On, and get your phone ready for the next step. This next step requires you to download an app on your phone. There are great, free Authentication apps that will work for this. Open the app, and place your camera facing the square code.

Step 3: You will then see on the app a 6-digit code (e.g., 123 456). This code will change every 30 seconds. Enter in the code while the timer is still within 30 seconds, and that will sign you in to your account. If you miss the mark on the timer, you can enter in the new code the app generates. Now, you're done! With this enabled, you will be asked for the new 6-digit code from your Authentication app every time you sign in to your account.

Note: Going back to the Two-Factor Authentication tab on your Settings > Security page, you can enable or disable this feature at any time with the On/Off switch.

Client

There are two ways you may enable Two-Factor Authentication.

The first is as you sign up and create your login. The second way you may enable the Two-Factor Authentication is on your profile home page.

First, click on your name on the top right corner of the screen, and then click on Settings.

Next, you will see an Off switch for Two-Factor Authentication. Click the Off switch to On, and it turns on the ability to use the Two-Factor Authentication. Now, you will need to find an app on your phone that authenticates QR codes. A QR Code is this square box here you see here.  There are great, free Authentication apps you can find to use for this process. Once you have that app open on your phone, point your camera to the square QR code.

The app will now generate a 6-digit code (e.g., 123 456). Enter in this code without space between the first and last three numbers.
Finally, go back to your Settings page; you can enable or disable this feature at any time using the On/Off switch.
