Two-Factor Authentication


Taxaroo prioritizes the security of your information, and we offer Two-Factor Authentication as an additional safeguard. With Two-Factor Authentication, you'll experience an extra layer of protection, making it more challenging for potential hackers to gain access to your account. The decision to enable this security measure is entirely up to you.

For Tax Professionals:

Step 1: To begin, access your Settings and go to the Security section.

Step 2: Turn on the switch to activate Two-Factor Authentication. Prepare your phone for the next step, where you'll need to download a reputable Authentication app. Open the app and scan the QR code displayed on your screen.

Step 3: The app will generate a 6-digit code, which changes every 30 seconds. Enter the current code within the time limit to sign in successfully. If you miss the window, don't worry, simply enter the new code generated by the app. From now on, whenever you log in, you'll be asked for the latest 6-digit code from your Authentication app.

Note: At any time, you can enable or disable Two-Factor Authentication in your Settings by using the On/Off switch.

For Clients:

Two-Factor Authentication is also available for clients, and you have two ways to enable it.

First, during the sign-up and account creation process.

Second, on your profile home page, click on your name at the top right corner, and then select Settings. There, you'll find the Two-Factor Authentication switch; turn it on to enable the feature. Similar to the process for Tax Professionals, you'll need to find an Authentication app on your phone to scan the QR code displayed. Once the app generates a 6-digit code, enter it promptly without spaces to access your account securely.

Remember, you can always manage this feature in your Settings, enabling or disabling it using the On/Off switch. Your security is essential to us, and we're here to provide you with the tools to keep your information safe.
